1. Booking & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due before final files are delivered or your website goes live.
2. Payment
All payments are made via bank transfer in GBP. International clients may pay via payment link.
3. Cancellations
If you cancel once work has started, your deposit is non-refundable. Refunds are only issued if we’re unable to complete your project on our end.
4. Communication, Timelines & Availability
Timelines depend on how quickly feedback and content are provided — the sooner you respond, the smoother things move.
If we don’t hear from you for 7 days your project will be paused. After 21 days your project will be archived. Restarting is subject to availability and a £35 rebooking fee applies.
5. Revisions
Branding — up to 3 rounds
Website — up to 3 rounds per page
A revision round is one set of feedback sent together. Revisions are for refining the existing direction - not starting from scratch or changing the business name or concept. If a new direction is needed this will be quoted as additional work.
Extra rounds are available at £25 (branding) and £35 (websites).
6. Final Files
Files are delivered once full payment has been received. Please save and back up everything upon delivery as files may not be available to resend once a project is archived.
7. Ownership
Once paid in full, all approved final designs are yours — including any AI generated assets. Any unused drafts or concepts remain the property of Kate Designed It and may be reused. You’re responsible for ensuring your business name and any assets you provide are properly licensed for use.
8. Website Costs & Third-Party Tools
Your package covers design and build only. Domains, hosting, and third-party platforms such as Wix, Shopify, Acuity etc are purchased separately by you. Any additional costs will always be communicated in advance.
9. After Launch Support
All websites include a complimentary post-launch support period for minor edits such as text or image changes. Duration depends on your package — we’ll confirm this with you directly. Larger updates will be quoted separately. Ongoing support packages are available on request.
10. Portfolio Use
We may feature completed work in our portfolio and on social media. If you’d prefer your project to remain private please let us know in writing before final delivery.
11. Scope Changes
Upgrades to your package can be made at any point. Downgrades are only possible before work has begun.
12. Responsibility
We’re fully committed to delivering beautiful, high quality work. However we’re unable to guarantee specific business results or outcomes as these depend on many factors outside of our control.
12. Trademark & Intellectual Property
We create original designs tailored to your brief but do not conduct trademark searches or provide legal advice. You’re responsible for ensuring your business name, logo, and assets don’t infringe on existing trademarks. We accept no responsibility for any legal disputes arising from intellectual property issues. If you need guidance on trademarking, we’re happy to help — just let us know.
14. Disputes
If any issues arise we’ll always aim to resolve things through open communication first. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
