Digital Product Policies

These terms and conditions (these “Terms”) apply to the purchase and sale of products and services through www.katedesignedit.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may modify these Terms from time to time, and any modifications will be effective immediately when we post them. Your purchase of any product or services that are available through this Site means you accept and agree to any changes.

Order Acceptance and Cancellation
You agree that your order is an offer to buy, under these Terms, all products and services listed in your order. All orders must be accepted by us or we will not be obligated to sell the products or services to you. We may choose not to accept any orders in our sole discretion. After having received your order, you will automatically receive the template download link or instructions document with next steps (if applicable).

Prices and Payment Terms
(a) All prices posted on this Site are subject to change without notice. The price charged for the product or service you purchase will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation e-mail. Price increases will only apply to orders placed after such changes. Listed prices do not include taxes or charges for shipping and handling. You will have notice of all such taxes and charges by reviewing your merchandise total in your shopping cart and in your order confirmation e-mail. We are not responsible for pricing, typographical, or other errors in any offer by us and we reserve the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors.

(b) Terms of payment are within our sole discretion and payment must be received by us before our acceptance of an order. You represent and warrant that (i) the credit card information you supply to us is true, correct, and complete, (ii) you are duly authorised to use such credit card for the purchase, (iii) charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit card company, and (iv) you will pay charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including all applicable taxes, if any.
 
Shipping and Delivery
(a) You will receive automatic downloads for your products. You are expressly responsible for notifying us if you do not receive your template, instructions, or download/questionnaire link.

Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of online digital products, no refunds are allowed under any circumstances.

By purchasing any products or services through our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and related policies.

Branding & Website Policies

Deposits & Payments
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your project. No work will begin until the deposit has cleared. Payments may be made via Bank Transfer (UK) or PayPal/Stripe (international). Please provide proof of payment (e.g., screenshot or reference) to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance is due prior to release of final files or website launch.

Refunds & Cancellations
Due to the bespoke nature of design services, refunds are not available. In the unlikely event that I must cancel your project due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund will be issued.

Turnaround Time
Design work will commence once the deposit has been received and a start date has been confirmed.
Timely communication is essential. Delays in providing feedback, content, or approvals may extend project timelines. If no communication is received within 7 days, the project may be considered closed and a new booking (with a new deposit) will be required.
Please note: projects may be delivered up until 11:59pm on the scheduled date. Revision requests may take up to three working days to process, which may extend delivery time.

Vision & Communication
To ensure the best outcome, please provide a clear and detailed brief (including fonts, colour schemes, or examples). If guidance is limited, additional revisions may be required, which could extend the timeline and incur fees.
A mood board or folder of inspiration is strongly recommended.

Revisions
Each project includes three rounds of revisions (for websites, this applies per page). Please ensure feedback is clear and specific.
Further revisions beyond the included amount will incur an additional charge:

  • £20 per change for Branding Services

  • £30 per change for Website Services
    (Fees depend on complexity and are quoted in advance. Payment is required before work continues.)


Final Designs (Websites & Branding)
Once a project is signed off and final files are delivered, you have one week to request any outstanding revisions (within your included allowance). Any requests made after this period will incur revision fees.

  • Logo files: Supplied in PNG & JPG formats (PDF available on request).

  • File ownership transfers once the full balance has been paid.

Please note: I do not guarantee storage of your files after delivery. It is your responsibility to back up all assets securely. Re-sending of files is not provided.
For larger projects (e.g., Acuity Scheduling or E-Flyers), designs are archived after completion. Minor edits (e.g., text or image swaps) may be possible, but larger revisions may require a new booking.

Creative Process & Collaboration
All projects are carried out under my creative direction to ensure consistency with the “Kate Designed It” standard. From time to time, I may collaborate with trusted specialists to support the creative process. Regardless of how the work is structured, every element is overseen and quality-checked by me to ensure you receive the premium service and attention my brand is known for.

Trademarking & Licensing

  • Please consult with me before submitting a logo for trademark checks.

  • Clients are responsible for securing any required licenses (e.g., for commercial font usage).

  • Failure to obtain the correct license may result in legal issues for which I cannot be held liable.


AI Stock Photos
AI-generated images are created based on your brief. Each concept will include up to four variations to choose from. Please note:

  • Results may vary due to the generative nature of AI.

  • Exclusivity cannot be guaranteed. Similarities to other works may occur.

  • I am not liable for potential resemblance to third-party content.

Providing clear briefs and inspiration images helps ensure accurate results.

Website Design – Additional Costs
Domains and hosting are not included. Clients are responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own hosting (e.g., via GoDaddy, Wix, or Shopify).
If you require a specific premium font that is not included in my selection, the cost of the font license will be an additional expense.

Portfolio Use
By booking my services, you grant permission for completed designs to be showcased in my portfolio and marketing materials. A discreet credit (“Kate Designed It”) may appear in the footer of your website unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Responsibility & Liability
I am not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by the client’s failure to provide timely feedback or materials.

  • Issues, losses, or damages caused by third-party providers (e.g., website hosts, printers).


Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
